How to use “Silence Doesn’t Speak” to raise awareness

The material “Silence Doesn’t Speak” about the abused young women can be used in a number of ways.
1. As a starting point for discussions:
 Does this problem exist in your city or country?
 Do you know victims of domestic violence?
 What feelings do the photos bring out in you – fear, anger, empathy, sympathy, compassion, helplessness, etc. Explain why.
 What needs to be done to help these women, to prevent abusive behavior, to punish the perpetrators, to educate young people about what to do if they find themselves in similar situations – as victims or eyewitnesses?
2. To demonstrate to the larger community and call for large-scale measures to stop abusive behavior.
3. To ask young people to provide captions other than the ones in the original material.
4. To serve as a starting point for story writing: Write the story of one of these women from her point of view, from the point of view of a relative of hers, from the point of view of a counselor or a friend.
